Yukiko Isomura Fan

profile

She started playing classical piano in her childhood, composing and playing in bands from her upper elementary school years, and participated in backing bands and recording sessions during her university years. During the girl band boom, she also participated as a keyboardist in various groups.

He then began composing music with the main theme of fusing classical and pop music, and East and West, which are the origins of his music, and began composing and performing music using Chinese folk instruments (such as the erhu and biwa) and Japanese instruments (such as the koto and shakuhachi) as well as piano.

In 2003, he released his solo album "Kaze no Sumu Machi" (The Town Where the Wind Lives) under Victor Entertainment, which was highly praised both at home and abroad. The song has been loved for many years, especially in China, and has been covered by many artists. The title track "Kaze no Sumu Machi" is still popular today.

The word and music unit "Luna Luna" creates songs for elementary school choirs (for half-coming-of-age ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, choir competitions, etc.), as well as songs related to childbirth, childcare, school lunches, home music classes, and other parenting-related topics.

He has released many CDs focusing on the erhu as well as piano albums in Japan through King Records and in China through Xing Wai Xing Music.

In the summer of 2023, he toured eight cities in China (Shenzhen, Guiyang, Shanghai, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Zhengzhou) with erhu player Gan Jianmin and koto player Maruta Miki.

"Kites by the Clouds" is the theme song for the movie "A Store by the Clouds". The lyrics were written to match the content of the movie, based on the song "Winds Live in the City" by Japanese composer Yukiko Isomura. Please enjoy this touching song about the singer's feelings for his hometown and his grandmother.
